Father’s Day Alert: Dads Are Allergic To Ties

Growing Epidemic: Unscientific Study Knots Fathers Allergies to Ties

There’s an epidemic growing right underneath most of our noses or to be more succinct just below a father’s chin. Dad’s everywhere are growing increasingly allergic to ties.

UNSCIENTIFIC STUDY KNOTS FATHERS ALLERGIES TO TIES

It’s true – well at least it seems like the truth to me! Dads everywhere are hoping for something other than another tie for Father’s Day. Ties which are among the staples for Father’s Day gift givers are not in dad’s top ten gift list. Trust me, I’m a dad. I know!

Dads are too tongue tied by politeness to say anything. Dads are just too afraid to ask families to loosen their attachment to ties. So, I have appointed myself as national Father’s Day spokesman. Please families, NO MORE TIES!

EVERYTHING CHANGES INCLUDING FATHERS

Dads are beginning to get the sense that not enough children and moms recognize that the world and fatherhood has changed. It seems the world recognizes change when it comes to technology, children and moms but not as quickly when it comes to dad.

Fortunately, there is no rule that we all have to behave the same and see the world similarly. Families who are willing to take a moment to consider the following will make the connection that there is no longer a need for the bulk purchase of ties for dads this year:

  • There are more than 2 million stay at home dads;
  • Every three out of four remote workers are men including work from home dads; and
  • Many corporations have relinquished the formal dress code (suit and tie) in favor of a more lenient, casual standard.

 SHOW DAD HE’S LOVED

If you truly love dad which I’m certain that you do; now is the time to remove your dad from the growing number of fathers suffering from the epidemic of the tie allergic fathers. Instead of giving dad another tie on Sunday that conveys the image of a noose getting ready to be forcefully placed around a condemned man’s neck, here’s another idea.

Write dad a heartfelt letter, make a video, record an audio or create some type of keepsake that chronicles the importance dad has in your life at this very moment. Create a memento that can and most assuredly will be celebrated for a lifetime. Ties go out of style quickly but the original and heartfelt words from a child that convey the love they have for their father is not only eternal but those words and moments are priceless.

SAVING DAD

Together we can save dads everywhere from suffering the allergic reaction to another tie and having to endure the accompanying unsightly unwanted tie neck rash. Rather than making dad do what no other person in the family is expected to do – receive an undesired gift and smile gracefully – give dad a gift that he will truly cherish.

For the last time, dads are allergic to ties so rather than give him something that hangs from his neck give him something that touches his heart. If for some reason you refuse to break tradition and are still compelled to buy dad a Father’s Day gift, a great option is the gift of Raising Supaman.

How are you planning to celebrate Father’s Day? What’s your most memorable Father’s Day?
